TSA means U.S. Transportation Security Administration.

For TSA padlock,there are red diamond shape logo on the padlock  body which means it is certified by TSA Customs.

There are two ways to open the TSA customs lock: one is the customer to use own key or password wheels, and the another way is the customs use a TSA unlock key (the bottom of the TSA locks printed with the corresponding key number).


From Jan.2003, all luggages to USA airport must be opened and inspected by customs, TSA issued a warning: Unless a TSA-certified lock is used, the luggage must either be unlocked or the customs has the right to damage the luggage lock to open it for inspection.


TSA locks can also be used in many other countries and regions outside the United States.So it's convenient to have TSA padlock for luggage, if you travel foreign countries.
